Excellent in Teaching nomination for Dr Andrew Sanger

UPDATE: Many congratulations to Andrew, who was the winner of this award.

Dr Andrew Sanger has been shortlisted by the Cambridge Student Union for a Student-Led Teaching Award for Small-Group Teaching (Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences).

These awards exist to reward outstanding teaching and student support across Cambridge University and its Colleges. The Small-Group Teaching award is for outstanding supervisors and other academic staff who do small-group teaching for courses in the Arts, Humanities, or Social Sciences, including undergraduate dissertation supervisors, study skills teachers, etc. who are being nominated for academic support.

Andrew is a University Associate Professor in International Law and a Fellow of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law. He is Director of Studies in Law at Corpus, and is the Dean of College.

This year, the SU received over 400 nominations for nine different categories and said, "The quality and depth of the nominations we received was outstanding. To be shortlisted means that the individual's work has had a substantial, lasting positive impact on students, and that these students want them to be recognised for their exceptional contribution."

The winners will be announced at the Student-Led Teaching Awards Ceremony, which is taking place on the evening of 11 May 2022.

Many congratulations to Andrew on this very special nomination.
