Tutorial Administrator

Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, is advertising a position within the Tutorial Office for a full-time administrator (37.5 hours per week) based at the College.

The Tutorial Office is a small, friendly community that is proud of its tradition of excellence in the management of the academic administration and of outstanding welfare services for the College’s student members. The work is wide-ranging and requires a strong ability to prioritise and organise a variety of tasks. Applicants must thrive in a busy environment and be both self-motivated and good team players. They should be flexible and enthusiastic; able to distil large and complex amounts of information into succinct and clear guidance for tutors and students, and be able to handle confidential information with sensitivity and common sense.

Applicants for this post will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines is essential, along with a calm, methodical approach and a keen eye for detail. The use of spreadsheets, online databases and a variety of software is central to the work of the Tutorial Office, so applicants should be able to use these confidently.

Flexibility in hours is important at certain times of year, as overtime will be required occasionally at weekends, evenings or Bank Holidays. Time off in lieu will be given.

In return, you will receive a competitive salary, excellent benefits and conditions of employment, including a pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement, car parking and use of College facilities.
