Food and Dining

Fuel for your study sessions (and your social life!)

Hungry? Corpus has you covered. Whether you want a quick bite between lectures, a proper dinner with friends, or a fancy night at Formal Hall, there’s something for everyone — and it’s all great value. Food at Corpus isn’t just fuel — it’s part of the community vibe.

Everyday Eating

Corpus is known for good‑quality, affordable food, and you’ll never be far from something tasty.

Here’s what meal times look like:

  • Breakfast — served every morning in the College bar
  • Lunch & Dinner — available every day from the cafeteria next to Hall
  • Saturdays — no lunch, but brunch instead (a student favourite!)

On average, a two‑course meal is around £5.25 and could be anything from fish & chips to curry or pasta. There’s always a vegan option, and the kitchen can easily cater for other dietary needs if you ask.

Formal Hall

Twice a week during term (Friday and Sunday), Corpus hosts Formal Hall — a three‑course served dinner in Hall. It’s a brilliant way to celebrate something, dress up a little, and meet people from all across College. It’s a fun, sociable Cambridge tradition — and a great excuse to take photos

Cooking for Yourself

If you prefer to cook occasionally, you can!

  • Small kitchens are dotted around College for simple meals
  • Bigger kitchens with more equipment are available in some accommodation blocks, like Newnham House

It’s the perfect setup if you want some independence while still having great catering nearby.
