1. Introduction

Welcome to the website of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge (‘College’, ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’). These Terms of Use (‘Terms’) govern your access to and use of our website (including all content, functions, services and features made available by us via the website) (‘Site’). By accessing, browsing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to the Terms, please do not use the Site. 
 

We may amend these Terms at any time. Such changes will take effect when published on the Site; your continued use of the Site after publication constitutes acceptance of those changes. 

By using the Site, you agree to us placing types of cookies on your device as laid out the Cookie Policy. If you choose to block cookies, you may not be able to access certain features of the Site.

2. Information About Us

The Site is operated by Corpus Christi College, formally known as ‘The College of Corpus Christi and the Blessed Virgin Mary in the University of Cambridge’, a constituent college of the University of Cambridge. The College is registered at Trumpington Street, Cambridge, CB2 1RH, United Kingdom. 

3. Accessing the Site

  • We strive to make the Site available 24 hours a day, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or withdraw the Site (or parts of it) without notice for technical, administrative or legal reasons.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your access arrangements (e.g., device, internet connection, virus protection) and for any costs you incur.
  • Where you are provided with website user permissions, you must treat such information provided as confidential and must not disclose it to any third party. We have the right to disable any permissions at any time if you fail to comply with these Terms.

  • Unless otherwise stated, we (or our licensors) own or control all rights in the Site and the material (including text, graphics, images, video and audio) published on it (‘College Material’). The College Material is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.
  • You may view, download, print and store extracts of the College Material for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not modify, reproduce, republish, distribute, exploit or commercially use the College Material without our prior written consent.
  • You must not use or display the College’s name or logo (or the logos of affiliated bodies) without our prior written consent.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites which are not operated by us. These links are provided for your convenience only. We do not control, endorse or guarantee the content, accuracy or reliability of these websites, and we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of them.

7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

  • The College Material is provided ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ without representation or warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site or any content will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected or that the systems that make the Site available are free of viruses or other harmful components.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, the College excludes all implied warranties, conditions and other terms.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or for fraud.
  • In no event shall the College be liable for any indirect, consequential, special or incidental losses or damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business or goodwill, incurred by you or any third party arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or reliance on the College Material.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the College and its officers, trustees, employees, agents and affiliates from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses and costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Site or breach of these Terms.

9. Termination & Suspension

We may terminate, suspend or restrict access to the Site (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice, for any reason (including breach of these Terms). On termination or suspension, you must cease all access and usage of the Site, and we may delete any account associated with you. Sections which by their nature survive termination (for example Intellectual Property, Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability, Indemnity, Governing Law & Jurisdiction) will continue in full force and effect.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and your use of the Site shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You and the College agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts for any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms. 

11. General

These Terms (together with our Data Privacy Notice, Cookies Policy, and any other documents referred to) constitute the entire agreement between you and the College regarding your use of the Site, to the exclusion of any other terms. 

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, it shall be deemed deleted and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
