Professor Emma Wilson

Emma Wilson is Professor of French literature and the visual arts. She is a Lecturer in Modern and Medieval Languages in Corpus. She teaches papers on modern French literature and contemporary European cinema. Her research interests include contemporary film, the visual arts, modern French literature and gender. She is author of Sexuality and the Reading Encounter (Oxford University Press, 1996), French Cinema since 1950 (Duckworth, 1999), Memory and Survival: The French Cinema of Krzysztof Kieslowski (Legenda, 2000), Cinema's Missing Children (Wallflower, 2003), Alain Resnais (MUP, 2006), Atom Egoyan (2009), Love, Mortality and the Moving Image (Palgrave, 2012), The Reclining Nude (2019). She is currently writing a book on the films of Céline Sciamma.
