Professor Jonathan Morgan

Jonathan Morgan grew up in Warwickshire and read jurisprudence at Oxford. He taught law at Warsaw and Oxford Universities before writing his doctoral thesis, "A defence of freedom of contract", at Corpus. After teaching fellowships at Christ's College, Cambridge and St. Catherine's College, Oxford he returned to Corpus as Director of Studies in Law in 2012. His research and teaching interests cover Contract, Tort, Human Rights and Constitutional Law—including their historical, theoretical, and economic dimensions.  His books include Great Debates in Tort Law (2022) and Contract Law Minimalism (2012).
