We very much hope to welcome you back to Corpus for a reunion dinner for those who matriculated in 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997 or 1998 for their degree. This will provide a wonderful opportunity to return to College and catch up with old friends.

The cost of the Reunion Dinner includes pre-dinner drinks, followed by dinner in Hall with wines from the Fellows’ Cellar. The Pelican Bar will be open after dinner and the Parker Library will be open in the afternoon showcasing its current exhibition.

The dress code is Black Tie; no gowns are worn.

There will be a seating plan in place so if you are coming with friends, please include your seating preferences on the booking form. We will otherwise seat you with your matriculation year and/or subject.

Due to the popularity of Reunion Dinners and space limitations in Hall, places will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis and guests will not be able to attend.

A limited number of single bedrooms are available in College for the night of the event. To reserve a room, please purchase a 'Dinner and Accommodation' ticket. A list of alternative accommodation providers that you may wish to consider can be found here

We are actively trying to reduce our carbon footprint, and invitations have only been sent by email. Should you know of any contemporary who, owing to a recent change of address or any other reason, may not have received an invitation, please let the Development and Alumni Relations Office know so that an invitation may be sent.

Please note that the email address and home address you register with will be added to our system as your preferred contact details. Please use your most current addresses when booking. If you have any questions please get in touch by emailing development@corpus.cam.ac.uk

We are delighted to announce that Corpus alumnus Professor Sir David Clary FRS will be giving a talk titled The Lost Scientists of World War II on the day as part of both the MacCurdy Reunion the Alumni Festival

The Lost Scientists of World War II

Many scientists who came to the UK and the USA from Germany and other European countries in the 1930s became world famous. What is not often realised is that many brilliant scientists were unable to make this transition and disappeared in World War II. Sir David Clary tells the story of these scientists, explaining the reasons why they could not leave their countries and presents fresh insights into their tragic fates. Notable scientists such as Einstein, Schrödinger and Oppenheimer are an integral part of this story, as is Sir George Thomson who became Master of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge from 1952-62.

Professor Sir David Clary FRS

Professor Sir David Clary FRS obtained a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry at Corpus Christi College in 1977. After an academic career in Manchester, Cambridge, UCL and Oxford he became President of Magdalen College Oxford from 2005-20 and was the first Chief Scientific Advisor to the Foreign Office from 2009-13. He is a fellow of many academies, including the Royal Society, and was knighted in 2016 for his services to international science. He has recently published a trilogy of books on scientists and World War II: Schrödinger in Oxford, The Lost Scientists of World War II, and Walter Kohn: From Kindertransport and Internment to DFT and the Nobel Prize.
