Kes: Live Soundtrack & Alumni Gathering with John Cameron (m.1962)
Sunday 19 July 2026 at the Royal Festival Hall, London
Join fellow Corpuscles for a special gathering with acclaimed composer and alumnus John Cameron (m.1962) ahead of Kes: Live Soundtrack at the Royal Festival Hall.
John - celebrated for his work across film, television and musical theatre - wrote the original score for Kes, Ken Loach’s landmark 1969 coming‑of‑age film.
Kes: Live Soundtrack
Part of the Rough Trade 50 weekend, this special screening revisits the story of Billy, a Yorkshire schoolboy whose life is transformed when he begins training a kestrel. The film’s emotional power is heightened by the live orchestral performance of John Cameron’s evocative score.
