Corpuscles shortlisted for Students' Union Excellence Awards
We're delighted to see that two Corpus members have been shortlisted for Excellence Awards from the Cambridge University Students' Union.
Second-year law student Kemi Akeredolu was shortlisted for her Contribution to Access & Widening Participation. Kemi is the JCR Ethnic Diversity Officer and she designed the first ever Black Brilliance outreach initiative held this year at Corpus, a residential programme for 28 students from around the UK.
Alumna and Director of Studies Dr Ruth Jackson Ravenscroft was shortlisted in the category of Student Support by a Member of Academic Staff. Ruth is a Fellow of Sidney Sussex College and a DoS at Corpus in Theology, Philosophy and Philosophy of Religion.
She is also a Teaching Associate for the Cambridge University Foundation Year. Her research sits at the intersection of theology, philosophy, literature, and intellectual history, and has focused on late eighteenth and early nineteenth-century thought in particular.
Winners will be announced at a celebration event bringing together those that have been shortlisted, students and staff from across the University. The evening will recognise the impact of those who have shaped the Cambridge community and provide an opportunity to celebrate excellence together. The ceremony will be held in the University Centre on Thursday 25 June.
