Your gift, our gratitude: recognising your support
We are so very grateful to everyone who chooses to support our work. Your generosity helps transform students’ lives, enabling them to achieve their ambitions and make valuable contributions to wider society.
However you choose to support Corpus, the impact of your gift will be immediate and enduring. You can read about our current priorities here, and the power of giving in the Impact Report.
All benefactors:
- Receive timely acknowledgement of their donation.
- Are recognised in the list of benefactors published in The Record (but can choose to opt out if they prefer).
- Are invited, with their families, to a benefactors' reception at the biennial Garden Party.
- Receive a copy of the annual Impact Report.
The Master’s Circle of Benefactors recognises donors who have given £25,000 and above during their lifetime. With effect from 1 October 2024, there are three distinct tiers. All existing members have retained their membership. For more information, please contact the Development & Alumni Relations Office: development@corpus.cam.ac.uk.
- Marlowe Benefactors (£25,000 and above): Named in honour of the renowned Corpuscle and playwright, Marlowe Benefactors are invited to attend the Queenborough Feast in the year following their accession.
- Margaret Andrew Benefactors (£100,000 and above): Named for the College’s first known benefactor, members are invited annually to the Queenborough Feast, together with a guest for their first attendance.
- Founder Benefactors (£250,000 and above): Founder Benefactors are invited annually to both the Queenborough Feast and Commemoration of Benefactors. Eligible donors and their spouse/partner are invited to take up Founder Benefactor status.
Further, members of the Master’s Circle of Benefactors are invited to occasional special events, held in College and elsewhere. They also receive distinct recognition in published donor lists.
Election as a Corpus Guild Fellow recognises our most generous benefactors. Donors of £1 million and above, together with their spouse/partner, are eligible for election. Corpus Guild Fellows are admitted at a special ceremony in the College Chapel, followed by dinner in College. They are invited to all College feasts, may stay in College free of charge (subject to availability of guest rooms), and may dine in College without charge.
The 1352 Foundation Society recognises, in their lifetime, those who choose to make a gift to Corpus in their will. Members and a guest are invited to the annual 1352 Foundation Society Day, which includes lunch and an exhibition, a tour or a lecture. They are recognised in the Impact Report and The Record (unless they wish their decision to remain private). More on making a gift in your will.
University recognition: Corpuscles who support the College are also eligible for recognition by the University. Donors of £250,000 or more may be nominated for membership of the Vice-Chancellor’s Circle. Benefactors whose giving reaches £1 million and above may be nominated for membership of the Guild of Cambridge Benefactors.
