We are excited to be running the next phase of our CLASS Programme (Corpus Link Area Supercurricular Scheme) for our Northern Ireland link area.

Nominations are now open for CLASS 2026 and will close on Friday 12 December (17:00).

Students on our CLASS residential in New Court

What is CLASS?
  • For many years, we have run a successful CLASS residential for our Northern Ireland link area. This year, we are launching a new and improved sustained super-curricular scheme with three subject streams.
  • Small online group sessions once per month (no more than 10 in each group) led by a subject expert.
  • Set pre-reading or a problem-solving task for each session which you will then discuss with your group.
  • In person residential event here at Corpus in September 2026 to celebrate students who finish the programme.
Which subjects are covered?

For our 2026 programme, CLASS will have three streams:

  • Life Sciences
  • Physical Sciences
  • Social Sciences
Who is it for?
  • Students from our Northern Ireland link area who are looking to make an application to highly selective universities.
  • Students who are enthusiastic about the offered subjects (Life Sciences, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences), which they wish to study at university.
  • Students who enjoy being academically stretched and challenged.
What is the eligibility criteria?

Students have to be:

  • In Y13 attending a maintained state school in Northern Ireland
  • On course for minimum A*AA (or equivalent) for Social Sciences & A*A*A for Life & Physical Sciences
  • Meet at least one of our widening-participation criteria
  • For Life Sciences, we require you to take Chemistry and either Biology or Maths at A Level.
  • For Physical Sciences, we require you to take both Maths and Physics at A Level.
  • You are welcome to apply to both CLASS and the Pelican Programme, but we will only select you for one programme.
Application Process
  • Students have to be nominated by a teacher at their school, and schools can nominate as many students per stream as they would like.
  • If you are nominating a student for either Life Sciences or Physical Sciences, they need to complete a set of problem boards on Isaac Science:
  • The teacher nomination form is now open, and will close on Friday 12 December (5pm).

The deadline to submit nominations is 17:00 Friday 12 December and students who have been selected to take part will find out in early January. If you have any queries about the nomination process or CLASS in general, please don't hesitate to contact Lucy
