The Corpus Playroom and the Fletcher Players

The Corpus Playroom in St Edward's Passage is a short walk from the College, and one of Cambridge's most popular theatrical spaces. In University Term, the Playroom hosts two productions each evening, a mainshow at 7.00pm and a lateshow at 9.30pm. These run from Tuesday-Saturday and changeover every week. There are also one-off performances every Monday.

The Corpus PlayroomThe Playroom was opened in 1979 by Caroline Oulton and Mark McCrum and was run for 22 years solely by the Corpus Christi student drama society, the Fletcher Players, before the Cambridge Arts Theatre took over management from 2001.

From the 2011/12 academic year, the Playroom has been managed by the ADC Theatre, though the Fletcher Players remain the resident company. Over the summer of 2011 the Playroom has seen a much-needed redevelopment, funded by the College and the ADC Theatre. The backstage areas and dressing rooms have been significantly improved whilst the front of house has been expanded to include a new box office.
