Eating at Leckhampton provides an ideal opportunity to meet and relax with fellow postgraduates and fellows of the College in an informal atmosphere. Food runs year-round with the exception of a small break in the summer of around four weeks.
The bar in Leckhampton House is open Monday to Friday, from 6.45 pm to 9.00 pm. Bar meals are available every night, and cost £2.50 for a main course and £1.10 for dessert. No orders for bar meals will be taken after 8.45 pm, though desserts may be ordered until 9.00 pm. In addition to the hot main meals, there is a rotational menu of jacket potatoes (£1.15, plus 85p per filling), soups (£1.40, including a bread roll), and salads (£2.30). (N.B. all prices are subjec to a 30 per cent. increase for those not paying KFC.)
On Tuesdays there is also an candlelit, waiter-served 'sit-down dinner' at 7.00 pm in the Dining Room, which costs £4.50 or £5.85 for guests (though guests who already pay KFC, such as Corpus undergraduates, are to be charged the lower rate -- specify 'guest pays KFC' when booking guests in online). There is no dress code for this. On Thursdays there is a 'themed meal' from 7.00 pm, costing around £3.00 (or £3.90 for non-KFC payers and guests who don't pay KFC). No signing-in is required for the bar meals or themed meals. For sit-down meals and special events, you must sign up via the event listing on the MCR website. The sign-up deadline for Tuesday sit-down meals is 9.00 am on that morning. The deadlines for special events may be different, and will be advertised individually.
Here are all the up-coming sit-down dinners and special events at Leckhampton.
