TEACHER FELLOWSHIPS Teachers currently working in the Maintained sector are invited to apply for a ten-week or five-week Fellowship, to be taken in one of the University’s three terms. Benefits of the Fellowship include free accommodation and meals. Attendance at University lectures will be possible (although, in the Easter Term, lectures are only given for the first four weeks, before examinations start), and the University and College Libraries will be available. Please note that, unfortunately, the College is unable to provide any funds for replacement teaching costs. Successful candidates will be expected to obtain leave or secondment from the School Governing Body or from the Local Authority. All applicants should consult their LA or Governing Body with regard to financial support. Applications will be considered from graduates who hold permanent full-time teaching posts in the United Kingdom in Maintained sector schools or colleges. Applicants must be engaged in the education for university entry of the 16 to 18 age range. They should normally have a minimum of three years' secondary education or Further Education experience. CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Ogden Trust-funded Physics Teacher Fellowship 2012 FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES: Teacher Fellowships for 2013-14 will be advertised in September 2012. Further information will be circulated to all Maintained schools and colleges in the UK. |
