The Cambridge Economics and Investment Seminar (CEIS) summer programme will be held in Corpus Christi College from 14th to 31st August.
The programme invites top Chinese university students to deepen their understanding of economics and investment while experiencing the rich culture of
Cambridge in the historic facilities and accommodation of Corpus Christi College. CEIS consists of two main parts — academic teaching in economics and
investment; and fantastic social activities and travel in the UK.
The academic portion of the programme is comprised of a series of lectures with case studies and presentations. Programme speakers are highly regarded
Cambridge university professors and local business leaders. Participants learn more about Cambridge traditions and British culture through social activities like
punting trips, a formal dinner, and trips to Oxford and London. They can enjoy staying in the college internet-connected rooms, studying in the college library,
dining in the formal hall, playing sports at the college sports ground, and relaxing in the college bar.
The programme organizer, Garine Youth Union, is an education development organization focusing on international educational programmes. Garine, which
means “outstanding” in Chinese, has offices in the UK, China and USA.
