Holy Days and Special Services



Holy Communion  (30 minutes) will be celebrated in the College Chapel at 12.30 pm on Tuesday 17 January (Anthony of Egypt), Wednesday 25  January (Conversion of St Paul ), Tuesday 14 February (Cyril and Methodius, Valentine), and Thursday 16 March.


Sunday 29 January
Candlemas (Feast of the Presentation)
10.00 am Blessing of candles, and procession to the College Chapel fromSt Bene’t’s Church, together with the St Bene’t’s congregation.
Thursday 23 February
Choral Compline 10.00 pm Candlelit choral service of Night Prayer.  A peaceful and hauntingly beautifulclose to the day.  Followed by refreshments in D4.
Wednesday 1 March
Ash Wednesday
6.45 pm Assemble at the Corpus Clock and process to the College Chapel forChoral Holy Communion with the distribution of ashes.
Wednesday 8 March
Corporate Communion
12.30 pm A chance for Christians in Corpus of all denominations to worship together.The service will be followed by a simple soup lunch.
Sunday 12 March
Music of the Passion
Concert in the Chapel 6.00-7.00 pm


The CHAPEL exists for the glory of God. It is open daily. Everyone at Corpus, their families, friends and visitors are very welcome to the visit the Chapel, and to attend all services, no matter what their faith or denomination.


The DEAN OF CHAPEL, James Buxton, is readily available to all members and staff of the College at any time, with or without appointment. Everyone is welcome to call on him socially at his rooms (D4) or to talk to him about anything in confidence whether or not it is spiritual. Contact details overleaf.
